Nicki Stanley, 46, had been plagued by poor dental health for years and expected to have new crowns fitted but woke up to find the dentist had removed all her upper teeth A woman had all her teeth removed without her consent while she was knocked out in a dentist’s chair. But when she woke up, instead of having new coverings over some of her decayed teeth she was missing every tooth from her upper gum.

Dentist Bites Back at Missouri Medicaid
A dentist claims in a class action that Missouri retaliated against him for challenging its denial of Medicaid claims for dentures – and that one state official claimed that “teeth are not necessary to eat.” James Dye, DDS, sued Missouri Department of Social Services Director Brian Kinkade, the director of its Medicaid Audit and Compliance Unit Jessica Dresner, and Dresner’s “subordinate,” Cindy Lenger, on Wednesday in Federal Court.
