Use of Medical Dental Sleep Appliance in the management of severe obstructive sleep apnoea: A case series
The objective assessment was made by comparing base line AHI (apnoea–hypopnoea index) and AHI with appliance in situ which showed an improvement of 99% and 55%, respectively. Though rare, complications may occur and can be categorized as local or systemic. In the majority they are of minor nature but there is a potential for severe and possibly lethal side effects.
