Effect of silica coating and silane surface treatment on the bond strength of soft denture liner to denture base material
CONCLUSION: Sandblasting, silica coating and silane surface treatments of the denture base resin did not increase the bond strength of the silicone based soft liner. However, in this study, the chemical analysis and surface profilometer provided interesting insights about the bonding mechanism between the denture base resin and silicone soft liner. For constituent dental societies that have not already acted, it is important to understand that the Affordable Care Act (ACA) amends the Fair Labor Standards Act by creating a requirement that employers provide a notice to employees informing them of the existence of the newly formed ACA marketplaces along with information on how to contact the marketplace to request assistance in purchasing coverage if employees choose to do so.
